Participants must be over 16 years of age.

Leaving the village of Ballyvaughan, after 1 mile take a right up Fineona road, at the top of this road, turn left passing the Burren College of Art, follow on to Glenfort, going by the ruins of Rathbourney Church to Poulacapple where we take another left and onto the green trail road.

Continuing along the route both on and off road before you climb up the scenic Caher Valley trail. See the “Ould Sheebeen” and enjoy the beautiful Burren along the way. As Fanore comes into sight you will have panoramic views of the Aran Islands and the South Galway coastline. Down into Fanore, going right at O’Donoghue’s Pub head for Ballyvaughan taking in part of the renowned Fanore beach. Our last trail over Blackhead descends at Gleninagh overlooking the castle, back onto the main road for the last few miles to the finish line in Ballyvaughan.

Congratulations 26.2 miles completed.

The full route is approx 3 miles on road followed by 4 on trail, 4 on road, 4 on trail, 4 on road, 4 on trail with the last few on the road back into the village.
